THE MICROCYCLE

Space of time (in football one week), which includes a set of sessions ordered in relation to:

  • The intended objectives.
  • The time spent training for a week (working days, rest days, competition days).
  • A correct dynamic of loads between sessions, oriented to the appearance of overcompensation on the day of the match.

There are different types of microcycles:

  • Maximum load.
  • Very high load (shock, accumulation,...).
  • High load (intense).
  • Medium load (normal).
  • Low load (regeneration).

Se must specify for the design of the micro-cycle:

  • Define training days.
  • The workloads in each session within the microcycle, relative to each mesocycle of each macrocycle.
  • The dynamics of workloads in each session within the microcycle, in relation to recovery/overcompensation for the match, and post-match loads.
  • The capacities and/or priority areas in the different sessions (improvement objectives).
  • The order distribution of correct loads.
  • Design of a weekly load dynamics:
    • Technique 12/24 h.
    • Tactics and Collective Actions 24-48 h.
    • Speed 18-48 (72) h.
    • Mixed resistance 24-36 (48) h.
    • Competition 48/72 h.

To define the load dynamics for the equipment, we will take into account:

    • The days of training.
    • First competition at home (usual schedule).
    • Second competition outside (day and time).
    • Load level for the training day and the ability to work.
    • Recovery hours/hours needed.

Differentiated types of Microcycle In this Phase we will analyze the 5 types of micro-cycles, which are related to their corresponding Macrocycles:

    • Microcycle type of Introduction.
    • Microcycles type of Realization.
    • Microcycles type of Adjustment.
    • Microcycle type of Evaluation.
    • Microcycle type of Recovery.

CHARACTERISTICS OF MICROCYCLES, SESSIONS AND TASKS FOR EACH STAGE

Criteria for scheduling the training of a microcycle for the Stage:

The stage presents 2 seasons, in which the structure of the microcycle is raised homogeneously, with the logical variants of the macrocycle and the cycle/season to which they correspond.

    We can calculate approximately between:

    • 30 and 35 micro-cycles per year and consequently between 230 and 250 sessions between the 2 seasons, in the microcycles that work with 4 sessions.
    • 30 and 35 micro-cycles per year and consequently between 180 and 200 sessions between the 2 seasons, in the microcycles that work with 3 sessions.
    • 30 and 35 micro-cycles per year and consequently between 120 and 130 sessions between the 2 seasons, in the microcycles that work with 2 sessions.

The relevance of working (when possible) with 4 weekly training sessions.

For the design of the sessions we will have to take into account:

    • That to work the Universal Fundamentals by demarcation previously master the Previous / basic FU.
    • Progression in the level of difficulty.
    • The controls/evaluations that allow us to know the level of the players and therefore design the appropriate exercises.
    • The design of the sessions in relation to the number of players, their characteristics, the time and space available, etc.
    • The most appropriate Didactic Forms to each objective/ area / slogans / considerations / etc.
    • The objectives, forms and variants to be proposed in the short and medium term (within the cycle / season (macrocycles), and in relation to the 2 cycles / seasons of the Stage).

For the participation of the players in the structure of the exercises in the training, we will take into account:

    • Do not require the strict manifestation of any aspect or tactical/ collective action to players who manifest a high capacity in the 1:1 with the ball. Let them improvise as long as there is a high level of talent.
    • Each player will work within "their" zone/demarcation, location (center/right/left) and natural line of play (with the variants provided in the didactic forms and in cases where there are doubts about this aspect).
    • Alternate activities with different types of "opposition".
    • Develop the different objectives of the marking established by the coach (according to the line, the zone, the defensive sub-phase of the game, etc.).

Development of the different types of "RONDOS" as a work element (in the warm-up or initial activity) for the normalization and improvement of the basic aspects of the Collective Game (Universal Foundations "Previous and Basic"), in relation to:

    • The basic structure of the team in attack (in relation to the established game system.
    • To the collective maintenance of possession of the ball.
    • The beginning, progression and collective completion.
    • The A/D and D/A transitions.
    • Collective actions in defense (of the work team and the opposition).

*Goalkeepers can work the entire session separately, until they are called to participate with the team (one or both). The rest will be able to continue working specifically.

*Parallel to the work of the team, a recovery work will be carried out with the injured players directed and individualized.

*WE WILL DEDICATE 3 MICROCYCLES TO EVALUATION (EFFICACY FACTORS):

START SEASON // CHRISTMAS // END SEASON

Obviously this "type" session can be modified taking into account:

    • The type of activity.
    • The reduction/elimination of some of the "parts" that compose it.
    • The duration (both of the different parts and of the session itself).
    • The loads.
    • The day of the week.
    • The different objectives determined for the session.
    • The seasonal period.
    • The physical goals set for the session.
    • The mood of the team.
    • The possible conditions related to the competition.

    In relation to the matches:

At this stage we will not develop a special protocol for this activity (in the porterior stages if it will already be relevant), the coach will raise the aspects of the match as any of the teams of the Training Process:

    • Basic analysis of the opposite.
    • Development of the established variants in defense and attack.
    • The call.
    • Displacements.
    • The costumes.
    • The pre, during and post match activity.
    • The general analysis of the party.

*The physical trainer, in addition to stretching and warming up, will control the work times, intensity and recovery time of the different activities that are carried out during the session so that they adjust to the physical objective of the session and the micro-cycle corresponding to:

  • Medium load
  • High load
  • Very high load
  • Low load

It is important that from the beginning of the preseason the team establishes work routines for each of the activities that take place during a day:

  • In the session.
  • Upon arrival and departure from the facilities.
  • In the development of the different activities.
  • In the competition.
  • In the theoretical talks, video, whiteboard...
