Purpose:

Training areas:

  • TECHNIQUE: Aspects of execution and protection of the ball.
  • TACTICS: Execution aspects of 1:1 situations; 2:1; 1:2.
  • COLLECTIVE PLAY (aspects of decision-making

We will work among others, aspects such as:

  • Orientation changes
  • Search for the pass line
  • Breadth and depth
  • Execution speed
  • Collective pressure
  • The pressure of losing possession of the ball
  • ...

Characteristics:

  • The player of the outer wall of the "rondo", when receiving the ball will try to play primarily with the inner pivot (concept of progression / depth of the game). If there is no passing line with the pivot, he will play with a partner (primarily with the one who is located on the opposite side of where the ball came from (concept of amplitude/change of orientation).
  • It will be played at 1 touch (passed in front of the pivot and the supports. It is only played with 2 touches if you can not play one, if we must reorient the game (1st touch oriented control and 2nd pass). Aerial receptions do NOT count as touches, nor 1:1 fights if they are not provoked (as long as the ball has not been stopped).
  • The Ball will never stop or stand still. The player who stops her will enter to defend.
  • You have to go get the ball by means of a "pique",not wait for it still. If there is the anticipation of the defender not to make the "pique", the attacker must enter to defend.
  • Maintain balance between attacking players: 10-15m/15-20m. (Depending on age), distance in relation to the ball and teammates without the need to signal with cones.
  • Always look for the passing line (swinging vertically – without approaching the possessor and maintaining balance – amplitude/depth). If the ball is lost due to incorrect support, the one who supports (not the player who has passed the ball) will come into the defender.
  • The Pivot will always be in the center of the "rondo",equidistant with the outer companions, always looking for balance and "the passing line" to be able to perform triangulation. The players of the central lane will be placed as pivots: central-midfielder-half-point-center forwards).
  • Remember the importance of ball protection in the 1:1 fight.
  • Defenders must recover the ball (making at least 3 touches in a row to the ball) or pass it to a fellow defender; it is not enough to touch or divert it (work the concept of "struggle" to recover the ball (-pressure of the player/players who lose the ball-). The player who recovers it or the one who has been defending for the longest time will come out as an attacker (the coach will decide for maximum defensive motivation).
  • Defenders will press the ball at the right time, eliminating exit spaces and passing lines when the possessor is pressed(one presses and the others eliminate exit spaces to the ball – "passing lines").
  • The first pass will be free. If more than 10 passes are made in a row with the participation of all the attacking players you will get 1 POINT/GOAL.
  • The optimal numerical ratio is 4 + 1 pivot: 3 (one less defender than the attackers). Therefore a 3 + 1 pivot: 2 may be valid, depending on the number of available players and/or their level.
    • As an exception, in the event that the situation 4 + 1 pivot: 3 is mastered, we can balance it by moving to a 4 + 1 pivot: 4. If we have to reduce the difficulty we will go to a 4 + pivot: 2.
  • The 4th player (who is not in the game orientation of the possessor) willoffer for a long orientation change if the possessor does not have short play spaces.
  • In the same way that you will be presented in a Game Situation in the real game 11:11. In each game situation, the figure of "rhombuses" will be constantly manifested in relation to the possessor, so that different game options are manifested in depth:
    • In Vertical.
    • Right.
    • Left.
  • We can play with a "reserve": the attacking player who loses the ball leaves the rondo, the defender who has recovered to attack, the reserve enters the rondo to defend.
