The game to be developed by a team is determined by the offensive and defensive play styles it uses.
- Short/Control Style, ASSOCIATIVE/POSITIONAL: It is characterized by the following:
- I play mostly satin.
- Short touches/passes (15-20 m).
- Quick play (a technical touch or two "tactical touches").
- Constant support to the ball holder.
- Balance and relationship in and between lines.
- Triangulations.
- Zone outputs (to create numerical superiority and/or take advantage of free spaces).
- The three phases of the offensive game (start, progression and completion).
We understand that the short play style is best suited to a correct training process, despite the difficulties it entails. Until good mastery and precision is achieved of the aspects of the short game, good results are not beginning to be achieved (aspect that conditions the attitudes of the environment -parents
The short play style is the only one that allows us to increase the efficiency/performance of our offensive and defensive game by improving the control of the game and the ball, and therefore the only one that justifies a work with objectives of constant improvement (both in a training process and in the process of maximum performance).
- Long/Depth/DIRECT Style: It is characterized by the following:
- Long displacements of the ball.
- Direct search of the end zone.
- Start of the offensive game by pulling directly from the goalkeeper or the goalkeeper in a long way.
- Very fast attack actions, performed in a few taps and with a great sense of depth, end up in auction or not.
- Its use is justified in the face of collective defenses of forward pressure.
- Style with Orientation and Rhythm Changes ("SHORT to LONG"): It is characterized by the following:
- Characteristic aspects of short and long play styles, combining short actions with long, "controlled" movements, to take advantage of the free spaces created in the areas opposite the location of the ball.
- "Media" play style: When the opposing pressure in our Home sub-phase is done with individual markings to our defensive lines, our media line will probably have numerical superiority allowing the goalkeeper to throw a ball at the free player of this line.
