CHANGES OF ORIENTATION IN THE COLLECTIVE GAME.
Orientation Changes manifest when an offensive team changes its game/ball orientation to different lanes in a controlled manner (associative passes). The following can be done:
- Directly, with passes to colleagues of the same line.
- INDIRECTly, triangulating with colleagues from other lines.
- By long passes, usually from one side rail to the other. These changes are justifiable when the holder has no chance of partnering with a partner (not even in "security) for lack of spaces.
In these cases the opposite will have performed a collective swing that will allow the manifestation of large spaces in the lane contrary to the situation of the ball.
