The offensive sub-phase of INICIO

Objective

Characteristics

  • Get the controlled ball to the Progression zone in possession of a teammate oriented towards the opposite goal, with clear options to reach the end zone in a controlled way in less than 4/5 touches.
  • There is numerical superiority in relation to the opposing line of attack.
  • Direct or indirect orientation changes should be made until the opportunity to achieve the objective is manifested.
  • We must link and must participate in this phase, the line of means and / or attack through triangulations and / or changes of pace in the Collective Game.

The offensive sub-phase of PROGRESSION

Objective

Characteristics

  • Get the ball to the end zone in less than 4/5 touches, and with options to be able to make the center / shot.
  • The progression zone presents large spaces that must be used to progress without losing possession of the ball (*1).
  • Once the ball is in the progression phase, the end zone must be reached in less than 4/5 (*2) touches. If this is not achieved, the game should be reoriented immediately with a direct or indirect change of orientation.

(*1) It seems logical to think that four means of the defending team cannot cover the entire width of the field (approximately 60 meters) with real possibilities of avoiding the control and progression of a well-structured team.

(*2) It is about not giving time to the opposite (we relate the "touches" with the "time" of manipulation of the ball, so that it is more understandable for the player) with a "long" possession of the ball in a certain area, since it would allow him to cancel the spaces of play. This time / touches can be decreased or extended in relation to the technical quality of the possessor (the more quality the more time of possession with guarantees of not lost), the greater collective tilt of the opponent would allow to manifest more space (efficiency) for the receiving partner of the other zone / lane. If the quality is lower, the time of possession in the same zone / demarcation must be less to avoid the loss that this reduction of spaces would cause.

The Offensive Sub-Phase of COMPLETION

Objective

Characteristics

  • Get the center and the subsequent shot on goal.
  • Absence of spaces and time (except for a counterattack action) due to the manifest numerical superiority of the adversary.
  • The dimensions of the goal and that it is defended by a specialist increases the difficulties.
  • Prioritize speed over accuracy
  • The game should develop at a high speed, almost like a strategy with planned movements and actions.
  • Differentiate the movements and actions at the entrance to the end zone by the ends or by the center.
